[소셜밸류=소민영 기자] Seoul Business Agency(SBA, CEO Kim Hyun Woo), an organization that provides variety of support program to scale up startups and SMEs that have based their operation in Seoul, has stated that it will now begin the corporate recruitment for “SSH Chang-dong-Oracle Korea Open Innovation” to ensure that promising startups who were looking to achieve technological advancement through a partnership with major companies can get what they need.
On August 30th 2022, SSH Chang-Dong has signed a business agreement with Oracle Korea to discover tech-based startups and are looking for startups that are willing to participate in the upcoming Open Innovation(OI).
Oracle, the mother company of Oracle Korea is an IT company that possesses SaaS products such as ERP, HCM, CX, SCM, and so on. It also provides the best database, PaaS and IaaS, to various states in USA, Europe, Asia, as well as 37 different areas.
This cooperation is expected to greatly aid startups which frequently uses cloud services.
This Open Innovation is looking for any idea and suggestion which involves the utilization of the Oracle cloud service that might empower the Oracle cloud ecosystem.
This Open Innovation is currently targeting companies that has any idea which might boost the Oracle cloud ecosystem. Examples of such idea are as follows, new solution development using the Oracle cloud service, new ways and plans to reduce cost and improve pre-existing methods by transferring them into cloud service, domestic market penetration, and so on.
An Open Innovation preliminary briefing session will be hosted to provide necessary information to startups willing to participate in this cooperative effort.
As there have been many inquiries regarding the technological aspect of the cloud service as well as the exact procedure of the Open Innovation, this briefing session is held in order to resolve them.
The session will be held on 14:00 Wednesday 14th of September 2022 at the office of the Oracle Korea. Zoom link will be provided to companies that are not able to physically participate in the said session.
This session will introduce the Oracle cloud service, successful cases of using Oracle’s analytical platform, the outline of the Open Innovation, and its application procedure.
Startups that have passed through the evaluation will receive commercialization support form SSH Chang-Dong and a chance to work with Oracle Korea.
Only the startups that has passed the primary document evaluation and secondary presentation evaluation will be able to participate in the Open Innovation program. Afterwards they will receive aforementioned support.
SSH Chang-Dong will provide both 10M KRW commercialization fund as well as competitiveness augmentation program. A separate evaluation to deem whether the company has what it takes to participate in the Demo-day and/or receive the office space within the hub.
Oracle Korea will sign an agreement with the company that has passed the final evaluation and will provide guideline regarding the demand and challenges as well as a separate mentoring program.
This program will include one-on-one Oracle engineer technical mentoring to build a proper cloud environment, marketing consulting to facilitate cloud market debouchment, and a credit of $1,000 SGD for cloud environment construction.
Application for this program will last from Thursday 1st September 2022 18:00 Thursday 22nd September 2022. Only after having to go through the registration process can on complete the application process which can all be done in the home page of Seoul Startup Plus.
Kim Jong Woo, the GM of SSH. has stated as following. “We hope that this cooperative effort will not only ensure the technological advancement of our startups, but also allow large corporations’ ecosystem expansion effort to create a virtuous cycle”.
He has also stated as such. “SSH Chang-Dong will expand its Open Innovation effort with its middle~large size partners in order to ensure startups in variety of fields can receive necessary support to continue growing.
