[소셜밸류=소민영 기자] A laser measurement startup, Magpie Tech’s (representative: Shin Woong Cheol) child growth management solution ‘Kiko’ will be receiving the innovation award in the digital health sector of the largest electronic product exhibition, CES 2023. CES’s innovation award was given to products that were able to pass through the thorough examination made by the panel of technological experts who had been organized by the CTA (Consumer Technology Association) of the USA.
‘Kiko’ is a total growth management solution for children. It is equipped with laser extensometer and smart scale which measures children’s height and weight and the application which will record the child’s growth will soon be provided as well. In particular, the laser extensometer is capable of measuring the child’s height in one second while having 3mm of range of uncertainty. The smart scale also measures 8 different body components too which is very useful when managing the growth of the children.
Kiko solution will also be useful in establishing the new standards of children and teenager’s obesity. Mountain View’s pediatric hospital located in the states of Arizona, USA and Epic Health Group has signed a MOU with Magpie Tech in order to establish the obesity diagnosis standard based on big data and to adopt a smart EMR system that links data through Kiko solution.
The aforementioned product will be showcased in the Korean domestic consumer market in the coming December through “Wadiz” the crowdfunding platform.
Shin Woong Cheol, the representative of Magpie Tech has stated as such, “Kiko was developed to manage our children’s health within our home, and us receiving the CES innovation award shows that our continuous effort trying to supply the market with our professional solution was recognized.”
Meanwhile, ‘Kiko’ product which received the CES 2023 award will be exhibited in CES 2023 from 5th of January to 8th of January.
