[소셜밸류=소민영 기자] Seoul Startup Hub will select 10 promising startups with innovative technologies along with S-OIL to provide various support for scale-up.
Seoul Startup Hub, run by the Seoul Business Agency (CEO Kim Hyun-woo), announced on June 2, Thursday, that it will recruit technology innovation startups in energy and environment; chemical, material, and battery; mobility; AI; and others(productivity enhancement, potential new energy·chemical business, bio-material, and customer experience improvement), for a joint program with S-OIL(CEO Hussain Al Qahtani).
Since signing a business agreement (Feb, 2022) for offering startups opportunities to partner with a major company, Seoul Startup Hub and S-OIL have been running a joint program for three consecutive years, attracting investments in startups selected through the program and seeking opportunities for business cooperation.
The ten companies handpicked by S-OIL are eligible for follow-up support, including a review for investment, office space at Seoul Startup Hub, and a review for investment from partners.
The selected companies will get an opportunity to receive an investment from S-OIL through a separate screening process.
Other benefits include commercialization grants(PoC, Pilot, BMT, etc.), occupancy of Seoul Startup Hub’s Open Innovation Cooperation Zone, global expansion (local corporation establishment, JV, stake acquisition, etc.), PR(IT Dong-A, Money Today), and ESG consulting.

The recruitment period is from June 2(Thur) to June 20(Mon). And you can apply at Seoul Startup Hub’s homepage.
To be selected are startups that have played a leading role in innovation(creativity), design, service sustainability, service expandability, business value(added value), etc.
In relation to this, Hong Jung-oh, team leader of Seoul Startup Hub, said, “Drawing on the experience of discovering and supporting startups with excellent eco-friendly/ESG technologies,
we will spare no support and cooperation to help domestic technology innovators continue to perform well and become global companies.”
It will start receiving applications on June 2, Thursday, and provide customized support including PoC grants+office space, investment, and global expansion.
The program, spanning from attracting investments from major companies to technology cooperation, will serve as a springboard for startups equipped with innovative technologies to expand globally.
