Frankit and Econnect, Signing an MOU to Utilize Recycled Plastic in Building a Sustainable Industry Ecosystem

[소셜밸류=박완규 기자] Frankit and Econnectt have set out to build a sustainable industry ecosystem based on the circulation of resource through recycled plastic.


On March 27, they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote the development and commercialization of products made from recycled plastic.

Both companies agreed to ▲ develop eco-friendly recycled plastic products for the food service industry and ▲ collaborate on technologies and projects aimed at expanding the market for these products.

Frankit offers a cloud-based, customized item ordering system and an integrated supply management system, enhancing the efficiency of various food service brands and operators’ operations, as well as manufacturing products tailored to their brands.

Now, Econnect develops optimized recycled resources and products based on a database of waste and recycled materials, supporting the adoption of eco-friendly items and sources across various, including food, logistics and distribution, both domestically and internationally.

Jeong Sang Won, the CEO of Frankit, said, “The MOU is expected to expand the use of eco-friendly products across the food service industries and contribute to the spread sustainable consumption culture.” Also, Jo Min Hyeong, the CEO of Econnect, said “We expect to showcase affordable and eco-friendly products to food service professionals. The MOU would serve as a model for a private partnership, leading sustainable circular economy.”

Meanwhile, their commercialization and market application are scheduled for the second quarter of this year.
