- ‘Business Audition for All’ → for pre-entrepreneurs and startups under 3 years, nationwide, with innovative ideas
- ‘Korea Challenge’ → for startups between 3 to 7 years located in Seoul, looking for opportunity

 

As a part of Try Everything 2023, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Maekyeong Media Group, and the small and medium enterprise supporting organization, Seoul Business Agency, are holding startup and global market entry contests, and recruiting startups for the event.

 

'Try Everything' is a global festival that brings together different players in the startup ecosystem over the world, such as promising startups, large/medium-sized firms, investors, and accelerators. 

 

The Metropolitan Government of Seoul has been hosting Try Everything every September since 2020 to revitalize Seoul's startup ecosystem. 

 

This year, 'Try Everything' is going to take place from September 13th to 15th at Seoul's Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Art Hall.

 

The main programs of the global startup festival Try Everything are ‘Business Audition for All’ and ‘Korea Challenge.’ Pre-entrepreneurs and startups no older than 3 years can apply to ‘Business Audition for All,’ and startups, looking for a chance to enter the global market, between 3 to 7 years after they started a business can apply to ‘Korea Challenge.’

 

For contests this year, the number of prizes and amount of total grant increased significantly, compared to last year, and will give more startups effective support.

 

‘Korea Challenge’ is a contest for startups seeking chances to enter the global market. Any startup with either headquarters or branch located in Seoul with 3 to 7 years in business can participate in the contest. The 10 finalists will receive certificates and total grants of 120 million KRW (approx. $92,300) as a global commercialization support fund, commensurate to their ranks. 

 

The 10 finalists will be provided with an online ·offline promotion booth during Try Everything 2023. Especially to startups ranked in first and second place, will also receive ‘Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok Residency Recommendation.’

For ‘Business Audition for All,’ literally there is no location limit. Any students, pre-entrepreneurs, and startups under 3 years are all qualified to apply. For the 5 finalists, grants of a total of 22 million KRW (approx. $16,900) will be awarded commensurate to their ranks with certificates. 5 Finalists will receive benefits such as participation in accelerating programs and mentorship opportunity with startup experts. 

 

The final round of ‘Korea Challenge’ and ‘Business Audition for All’ are scheduled on the third day of Try Everything 2023, Friday, September 15th, at DDP. After the final round, the announcement of the final rank, and award ceremony is going to take place together in the ‘Try Everything Awards.’
