On the 8th, Econnect announced that it had been selected for the eco-friendly and energy sectors of ‘Super Gap Startup 1000+ project (DIPS 1000+)’, a flagship program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups aimed at nurturing startups.
It is expected to receive various forms of support including sales channel development and global expansion, along with up to one billion Korean won in R&D funding and up to 600 million Korean won in government grants.
Econnect is a company providing eco-friendly recycle material solution that have turned waste problems into resource opportunities. It has built a circular economy business model that offers products tailored to various sectors by developing high-value recycled materials, based on waste and recycling database collected from both domestic and international sources.
In addition to providing recycled materials tailored for companies, the company offers an integrated solution that cover the entire process, from waste to recycling, through ‘Trash-to-Product’, a system that turns wastes into final products.
Based on Super Gap Startup project, Econnect will not only expand its supply contract with large corporations in Korea, but also extend and accelerate on its export to the USA , which started in March.
Noh Youngwoo, the COO and co-founder of Econnect said, “The adoption of eco-friendly materials is no longer an option but an imperative. They are not wastes to be incinerated but new resources to be utilized. With full support from the government, we will offer a practical, eco-friendly solution not only across the country but also to all clients worldwide”.
Meanwhile, the eco-friendly and energy sector of ‘Super Gap Startup 1000+ project’, in which Econnect is participating, is managed by Korea Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning.
