[소셜밸류=박완규 기자] ‘Ourspot’, an integrated child-care service designed to look after children after school, is gaining growth momentum in the region.

On the 22nd, Ourspot announced that its two branches near Seoul Yeomri Elementary School and Hanseo Elementary School have reached a total of 2,000 service users (including duplicates)

Ourspot is a startup committed to providing an all-in-one child-care service including pick-up, child care and space utilization. After completing a pilot testing, it introduced a membership program starting last December.

Children who have spare time before heading to cram school, or those who are waiting their parent to come home from work can use the space for two hours after school. They can participate in various activities such as creative projects, reading, or doing school homework.

In particular, the platform gained attention by being the first to implement a ‘distance-based pickup service with per-trip payment’. The service reduced the burden on parents by offering reasonable prices based on distance, thanks to its flexible option allowing parents to select only the days they need.

Parents are also satisfied with the service. Among parents with children in the Mapo-gu area, 20% have paid for the service, while the monthly membership renewal rate exceeds 80%. In fact, the new term ‘Ourspot influence Area’ (Ourspot + Station Influence Area) has recently been introduced in the region.

Its exclusive space and membership models are gaining popularity, attracting partnership inquiries both from corporates and local governments.

Yoon Hongseok and Jang Jihye, the co-CEOs of Ourspot said, “The service aims to create a new era of ‘after school kids lifestyle’ for children, going beyond traditional child-care services. In the long term, it envision establishing ‘One Ourspot per neighborhood’, becoming essential infrastructure for children in every region.”

Meanwhile, Ourspot was initially launched as a company-building model by Bluepointpartners, one of the leading domestic accelerators. Last September, it spun off as a separate legal entity with no equity stake held by Bluepointpartners.
