[소셜밸류=김완묵 기자] Wemeet Mobility, a mobility technology company, announced on the 27th that it has been selected as a best practice for demonstrating industry-linked digital transformation solutions by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency(NIPA).

NIPA selected the best practices of three companies through its program specializing in non-face-to-face services and digital transformation in the field of business closely related to daily life, and promoted the "Demonstration of non-face-to-face leading services and digital transformation solutions in the fields closely related to daily life in 2023" performance review meeting at the JBK Convention in Samsung-dong on the 22nd.

The performance review meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA, as well as organizers and participating organizations working on the NIPA leading non-face-to-face service demonstration and commercialization project and the digital transformation solution demonstration project.

Wemeet Mobility presented the best practices for its Vehicle Routing and Scheduling(VRS) solution to build a fulfillment service in Jeju Island "the Same-Day Delivery System in Jeju Island - Jeju Onul (Jeju Today)".

Through this project, Wemeet Mobility highlighted the weaknesses of the logistics infrastructure in Jeju Island, a typical mountainous island, and built a system to improve it. The background of the project is that parcels delivered in Jeju Island have to go through a HUB&Spoke system and take a long way through logistics hubs inland, causing inefficiency problems, and motorcycle traffic restrictions prevent express delivery, resulting in high express logistics costs per distance.

Therefore, Wemeet Mobility built a system that enables same-day delivery across Jeju Island through optimal routes that reflect real-time orders immediately, using a V2V(Vehicle to Vehicle) method in which six vehicles divide 3 areas and collect items at a gathering point at a certain time without a warehouse, and real-time dynamic routing engine technology.

Wemeet Mobility has established various types of collaborations and alliances with Jeju-based companies such as bottled water manufacturers, beauty and cosmetics companies, and luggage storage services, as well as Jeju public institutions, and has acquired more than 30 customers.

In addition, by continuously receiving customer feedback, the company has improved its product operations, such as simple ordering through KakaoTalk and adopting a post-payment system.

Currently, Wemeet Mobility is participating in an overseas expansion program organized by the Global Digital Innovation Network(GDIN), which is focused on creating a foundation to enter the Japanese and Singaporean markets. GDIN provides consulting of both internal and external expertise in the areas of marketing, patents, legal, public relations, and investment to actively support the company's global expansion.

"We are pleased to share our case through networking with DX companies, NIPA, Ministry of Science and ICT, and GDIN through this performance sharing meeting, and thank them for their great support for stable service operation" said Kang Guisun, the CEO of Wemeet Mobility. "We will scale up through constant R&D as well as establishing various partnerships with companies and organizations in Jeju Island for sustainable service operation."
