Seoul Buisness Agency, Established a toehold for Seoul Startups to Enter the Indian Market with IIT Kanpur Startup Incubation and Innovation Center

[소셜밸류=소민영 기자] Seoul Business Agency(SBA) (CEO Hyun Woo Kim), an agency supporting small and medium enterprises, reinforcing their competitiveness in the global market, is operating the ‘2023 Seoul Startup Indian Market Entry Program’ with Indian Institutes of Technology Kanpur Startup Incubation and Innovation Center (ITT Kanpur) for technology startups of Seoul to enter the Indian Market.


With the understanding of the potential of the Indian Market, Seoul Startup Hub has cooperated in supporting startups to enter the Indian since 2021 with India-specialized accelerators, ‘Unicorn Incubator’ and ‘The GAIN’.

The ‘2023 Seoul Startup Indian Market Entry Program’ is designing an accelerating program with IIT Kanpur to diversify the Indian local network through cooperation with both private and public accelerators.

As the most prestigious School of Engineering established for the development of Science in India, IIT is an educational institution with a remarkable system in Science that produced the CEOs of globally well-known IT firms such as Google and Infosys.

IIT Kanpur is one of the top 5 campuses out of 23. It has infrastructures including startup incubation areas and labs and also has expertise in discovering and incubating promising Indian startups in the deep tech industry.

‘2023 Seoul Startup Indian Market Entry Program’ recruitment will be open for 3 weeks until Thursday, July 6th. Any startup with one or more building among headquarter, lab, and office, and innovative technology including AI and education solution can apply online on the Seoul startup integrated platform ‘Startup Plus’

To the final selected startups through this program will be provided ▲1:1 Mentorship ▲ Network discovery support ▲IIT Kanpur local accelerating program ▲commercialization grant, etc. For the startups to successfully enter the Indian market, they will receive collaborative support from private and public players, and educational institution

Jong Woo Kim, the director of the SBA startup division stated, “I expect that this program will be the toehold for Seoul startups to enter the Indian market, as ITT built the IT technology network which is globally influential.”
