[소셜밸류=소민영 기자] VMIC Aviation(CEO Kyohoon Nam), an aircraft lease management startup, announced on the 28th its signing MOU with India Voler Haut Aviation for collaboration in India-South Korea aircraft lease business.

Through the agreement, VMIC Aviation and Voler Haut Aviation will work closely to rapidly expand into the global aircraft leasing market in addition to Indian aircraft leasing by applying high market standards through technical cooperation between the two companies.

The Indian aviation industry, in particular, has seen rapid growth in recent years. India's largest airline, IndiGo, is leading the way with a 77% year-on-year revenue increase in fiscal year 2022/23, along with Air India's largest aircraft purchase ever. The large fleet and rapid growth of Indian airlines is creating more demand for aircraft lease management, which is one of the most specialized areas of the aircraft leasing industry. VMIC, which already provides lease management services to institutional investors and airlines, plans to expand into the rapidly growing Indian market by partnering with Voler Haut Aviation.
Voler Haut Aviation, led by CEO Sumbul Bisaria, a former IndiGo airline executive, has emerged as a prominent lease management company in the Indian aviation market, and was recently responsible for the retirement of the Air India B747-400 aircraft, a project that attracted much attention from aviation fans around the world.

“VMIC recognizes the tremendous growth potential of the Indian aviation market, and we look forward to working with Voler Haut Aviation to quickly make a meaningful impact on the Indian market,” said the CEO of VMIC.

Sumbul Bisaria, CEO of Voler Haunt Aviation, added, “We are excited to work with VMIC to maximize our technology and expertise to deliver a high level of service to our global customers.”
