[소셜밸류=소민영 기자] Seoul Business Agency (SBA, CEO Hyun Woo Kim), an organization discovering and fostering promising startups of Seoul, announced the recruitment of ‘15th Food Makers’ to support successful food service startups, open until July 10th.
Maximum of 33 teams will be selected through the 15th Food Maker recruitment, categorized into Independent Kitchen Food Makers and Open Kitchen Food Makers. Once they are selected, they can use the provided space without rent.
Up to 30 teams will be selected as Open Kitchen Food Makers. They can use the Open Kitchen in Kitchen Incubator for 50 hours per month. It is suitable for F&B (pre)entrepreneurs who need space for development and production. Furthermore, Open Kitchen Food Makers can have chances to sell their products online, even though it is limited to B2C.
3 teams will be chosen to be the Individual Kitchen Food Makers. They are provided with restaurant space in the form of a Food Court. It is a good fit for food service (pre)entrepreneurs who want to test the marketability and customer feedback of the items they planned before they launch offline. The biggest difference compared to the Open Kitchen Food Makers is that the Individual Kitchen Food Makers can operate their own restaurants with their menu and receive immediate feedbacks from the customers, including employees of resident startups of Seoul Startup Hub and visitors of the Hub.
Besides access to the facilities, the selected Food Makers receive support to help them take the next steps to be successful. They can enjoy multiple benefits: ▲Mentorship ▲Consulting ▲Menu Development ▲ Sampling Event ▲ Crowd Funding ▲ On·Offline Sales Connection ▲ Promotion.
Jung Yong Lee, assistant manager of SBA stated “We are paying attention to what startups need the most as they try to make their way in the food service ecosystem. We will strengthen the growth of F&B startups and foster programs further through the 15th Food Makers.”
The recruitment of the 15th Food Maker is open until July 10th on Startup Plus, the online platform of Seoul Startup Hub. The selected teams can participate in the program from August 14th to December 1st.
