Eco-Friendly Material Transition Solution Company ‘ECONNECT’, Selected in Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “TIPS”

[소셜밸류=박완규 기자] ECONNECT, a company developed eco-friendly material transition solution ‘Station Zero’ announced on the 16th that it was selected in the TIPS program operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
TIPS program is a private investment driven tech startup support program operated by Ministry of SMEs and Startup to raise startups with promising key technology. ECONNECT was recommended by MY Social Company, the operator of the TIPS and applied to the evaluation for the TIPS program in May 2024. And for two years, it will be supported with grant of total 700 million KRW, which includes 500 million KRW of R&D fund and 200 million KRW for commercialization.
ECONNECT specializes in providing eco-friendly material transition solutions for domestic and international brand owners and manufacturers. Through its signature solution, Station Zero, the company simplifies the process of curating and sourcing eco-friendly materials for products, dramatically reducing material transition costs and connecting eco-friendly material suppliers with customers who demand them.
ECONNECT, founded in November 2022, received investment from the Yuhan-Kimberly Green Impact Fund in 2023. The company has collaborated with leading Korean conglomerates including Yuhan-Kimberly to achieve a 430% year-on-year increase in sales. In addition, it was selected as a Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok resident startup by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) in the first half of 2024 to receive growth support.
